Wands (魔杖, magic wand), also known as pens (ペン), are a category of tool used by witches.
Description[]
The purpose of a wand is solely to apply conjuring ink to a surface. A wand is therefore not necessarily magic by nature, though it may be altered by magic to imbue different properties.
Wands may be made with any number of different materials, including wood, glass, reed, and feathers. The properties of the wand can change how and to what surfaces the ink may be applied.
Currently known types of wands include ink wands, woodcruor wands, and Olruggio's creation, the searneedle wand.
History[]
Coco is given her first wand by the mysterious witch at a festival when she was little.[1] This wand that Coco received had a ink compartiment so it wouldn't need a ink bottle. At the time, she did not realize the wand's purpose, instead confusing the pen at the bottom for a novelty. Its purpose became clear to her years later, after she secretly watched Qifrey repair a broken pegasus carriage.[2]
