Outsiders are the "normal" people of the world, the ones that are unaware of the true nature of magic and witches.[1]
Overview[]
Since of the Day of the Pact, Outsiders aren't allowed to know how to use magic and most of them believe that those who aren't born witches can't be witches. Witches can't learn medicine and medical care must be performed without magic.
Before turning into a witch, Coco was an outsider, but after peeking at Qifrey while he was performing magic, she learned that the "picture book" Iguin had sold to her was, in fact, a book of spells. Coco ended up drawing some of the seals in the book, and as a result of she ended up turning her mother into stone. Qifrey ends up taking her in as his apprentice.
