It is a type of tuber covered by an unusually tough outer layer. One method of cooking involves holding the yam over an appropriately-size flame, which results in a delicious, piping-hot treat.[1]
History[]
The carapace yam was first seen being used by Qifrey for a magic demonstration with Coco. He used a repetition seal to revert some old, rotten yams to their former, fresher state.[2] He then made Coco utilize the pyreball seal to cook the yams.[1] Tetia and Richeh then joined Coco and Qifrey, and the four of them made dumplings and sandwiches with the yams,[3] which they ate for a picnic under a bridge.[4]
