Brushbuddies (フデムシ) or brushbugs are a type of magical creature completely covered in soft fluffy fur. They have long tails, although they are shorter and rounder when they are just born. Brushbuddies can come in many colours and patterns. They like to eat nuts and berries.
Brushbuddies are attracted to the scent of magical ink, so they tend to be found around witches. Brushbuddies will dip their bodies into bottles of unattended magical ink and then roam around the room to make a mess.

- Their Japanese name, fudemushi (フデムシ), comes from the Japanese words for an inkbrush (fude) and bug (mushi).
